The Accuplacer is not a timed test and each student has a unique experience, therefore we do not have an end time to provide you. This assessment is used for a few purposes: determining what courses are best to start in to ensure student success and determining CCP eligibility and course placement.

The only academic programs that do not require the Accuplacer at NSCC is the Industrial Welding Certificate and Law Enforcement Certificate.

If you have any questions about the Accuplacer or your next steps in the Admissions process, please contact the Office of Admissions at 419-267-1320.

    TIPS AND TRICKS

    1. Prepare for the accuplacer by reviewing the study guides HERE.

    2. Schedule your test at a time that you will not be rushed, each person is unique and we cannot determine how long the test will take you. We typically recommend planning for at least 1.5-2 hours.

    3. If you have an IEP or Academic Accommodations that you plan to use during testing, you will need to submit this information to our Accessibility Services office for review prior to your testing date.
